How to estimate the cost of a batch
Before quoting a client, break the batch into steps and estimate.
Batch cost ≈ posts × (copy price + images per post × image price). Images dominate; the estimate is shown before you submit, and failed steps aren't charged.
Break it into steps
- Angles: one step per batch
- Copy: one step per post
- Images: one step per image
Which step costs the most
Generating an image costs far more than writing copy, so the number of images per post moves the total most. On a tight budget, cut images per post before cutting posts.
Quote from the estimate
Adjust posts and images per post in the job form and watch the estimate change. Quote from that number and leave room for a few redos. Only successful steps are charged; failed or rejected ones are refunded.
- How is a single-image redo charged?
- Separately, and only once the new image has replaced the old one in the ZIP.
